Brazilian Hammocks
Brazilian hammocks are made completely by hand. The 100% cotton beds are
handloomed in a standard width of approximately 5 feet and length of 8
feet. The arms are 100% heavy cotton cord. The Decorative and Ornate
models have handmacrame finish, for extra strength, at the ends of the
beds (where the beds attach to the arms.) The Decorative and Ornate
models have handcrotcheted ornamental edges. They also are made of a
sturdier, heavier weight fabric than the Simple model.
Four new designs are now available which are commonly used in Northern
Brazil including the Amazon Jungles. Approximately 50 million
Brazilians furnish their homes with these designs and sleep nightly in
them.
